'68 altrove, 2008.

Nel 2008, in occasione del quarantesimo anniversario del '68, fui invitato a esporre, nel castello di Noceto (Parma), una serie di fotografie per una mostra che volli chiamare "'68 altrove". Nel senso che non volevo mostrare solo le immagini del movimento degli studenti a Roma, ma anche di altri temi di cui mi occupai in quell'anno che per me consideravo il mio primo anno "da fotografo". In maniera cronologica si succedevano le immagini del terremoto del Belice di gennaio, degli studenti in rivolta a Roma, del Cairo ad agosto dove soggiornai alcune settimane prima di raggiungere la Giordania dove volevo raccontare la vita quotidiana e l'addestramento di una delle prime organizzazioni di resistenza armata palestinese. In 2008, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of '68, I was invited to exhibit, in the castle of Noceto (Parma), a series of photographs for an exhibition that I wanted to call "'68 elsewhere". In the sense that I did not want to show only the images of the student movement in Rome, but also of other themes that I dealt with in that year that I considered my first year "as a photographer". In chronological order, there were images of the Belice earthquake in January, of the student revolt in Rome, of Cairo in August where I stayed for a few weeks before reaching Jordan where I wanted to tell the story of the daily life and training of one of the first Palestinian armed resistance organizations. Finally, images of '68 in Sardinia, in November in Barbagia.
